Helping those who help us
The New England First Responder Assistance Fund (NEFRAF) was created in response to the need of a local police officer, Jim Landi of Townsend who was struggling with cystic fibrosis and waiting for his second double lung transplant. As Jim is on the mend, this fund is to continue in perpetuity to help other first responders and their families during their time of need.
OUR STORY
NEFRAF
When the public needs help, it is our first responders – fire, police, and emergency medicine personal who are the first to respond.
When Townsend Police Officer Jim Landi was no longer able to serve his community, it was his community who stepped up to help.
The New England First Responder Assistance Fund (NEFRAF) was built out of this idea – organizing our communities support for our first responders. Whether the first responder lives in the district and works elsewhere or works in the district and lives elsewhere – this fund is here to help in their time of need. Serving the Massachusetts communities of Ashby, Dunstable, Groton, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Townsend, and Westford, NEFRAF is here to help.
